6.3 Properties of TAM

In this section, properties of the TAM are discussed and proved. First the properties of the TAM for the outputs at one time step are shown. Then we show how waveforms are modeled using the TAM.

Definition 6.1.

The Arrival Time (AT) of a signal at the output of a gate p is the time required for the value of the signal to propagate from PIs to the output of the gate p. This time is the sum of delays of gates along a path. The maximum arrival time AT max at the output of a gate p is the maximum amount of the time which the value of a signal requires to propagate from PIs to the output of the gate p. The minimum arrival time AT min at the output of a gate p is the minimum amount of the time which the value of a signal requires to propagate from PIs to the output of the gate p [MB91, SCPB12].
